Why Rikku?

Rikku has always been one of my favorite Final Fantasy characters. I played both FFX and FFX-2 as soon as they were released, and her bright personality and unique design instantly caught my attention. The visual style of Final Fantasy has always fascinated me: the creative color combinations and bold outfit choices are iconic. After all, who else could pull off a bikini with a scarf so perfectly?
I recreated Rikku’s look with great attention to detail and later organized photoshoots by the sea and in locations reminiscent of the Al Bhed bases.

Rikku Cosplay Tutorial
The wig was built from a short base combined with a huge ponytail, plus multiple individual braids carefully sewn onto the cap.
Great care went into selecting the fabrics and textures: with a simple costume like Rikku’s, every detail must be perfectly faithful to the original! I personally created the sewing patterns and made the skirt, sleeves, and bikini, ensuring each piece matched her game reference.
The daggers were created in collaboration with my friend BlastMaker, who 3D-modeled them following my precise measurements for every height and length. After receiving the raw print, I spent about 35–40 additional hours refining, sanding, and painting them to achieve the final finish.
The boots started from a pair of white ankle shoes, to which I added blue faux leather panels, carefully tailored and neatly finished inside and out for accuracy and durability.
